"YOUR SURVIVAL IS OUR MISSION"

MINNESOTA CARRY PERMIT F.A.Q's.

Q: What states is my Minnesota and AZ. carry permit good in?

A:  You may check out, www.handgunlaw.us It’s your responsibly to verify  the data offered by this web site. If you took a carry class from  Medical Security Solutions, E-mail us for a list.

Q: How should I transport my firearm in a state I cannot legally carry in?

A:  The best way would be, unload the firearm, enclose it either in a box  or pistol rug and put it in your trunk. Some States require that you  have a lock on the case. It’s best to keep the ammo separate from the  firearm. If you have a vehicle that does not have a trunk, put the  unloaded firearm in a locked box and put it behind the seat in a pickup  or all the way in the back of an SUV. See United States Title 18 - Part I  - Chapter 44
§ 926A on the Interstate Transportation of Firearms.  “Please note” some States will ban some types of handguns and magazines.  Please check their local laws on ban guns and magazines.

Q: Will a past arrest prevent me from getting a permit?

A: Yes and No.
Some  County Sheriffs in Minnesota will deny an applicant if you have been  arrested but were not charged or was found not guilty. Ramsey County is  good at this. Ramsey County will use the catch all of MN Statue 624.714,  sub 6, paragraph (b). “Determined that there exists a substantial  likelihood that the applicant is a danger to self or others if  authorized to carry a pistol under a permit”. Please note, that in most  cases you can buy and own a handgun but can’t carry it when you are  deny. Students of Medical Security Solutions will help you with your  repeal. You have 20 Business days to repeal.

Q: Is the Carry Permit and the Purchase Permit, background check the same?

A:  It’s about the same. However when you apply for your Purchase Permit,  from your local Police Dept. Example, Andy Roth was convicted of a  D.U.I. 5 years ago, 2 speeding tickets in the last 7 years. Most if not  all Police Depts. Will issue a Purchase Permit to you. However the  Sheriff mostly likely will deny you, your carry permit.

Q: Do I need a purchase permit to take a Minnesota Carry Permit Class?

A: No.

Q: Can I buy a handgun with my Minnesota carry permit?

A: Yes

Q: How many handguns can I carry?

A: As many as you wish.

Q: Do I need to get a new carry permit, If I change my address?

A:  No. But you need to notify the Sheriff by mail of your new address.  Note: Some Gun Shops will not sell you a firearm if your carry permit  don't match up with your ID. Under State Law you only have to have a  valid carry permit and a current State ID or D.L.. However your purchase  permit must match up with your State ID or D.L..
